Adult Fiction

We choose: Room by Emma Donoghue

Why: The story captures the unique relationship between a young boy and his mom while they are kept in isolation. The book was recently made into a movie starring Brie Larson, who went on to win an Oscar for best actress! This is definitely a must-read and then a must-watch.

Our other choice: Property of a Noblewoman by Danielle Steel

Why: She writes for her avid fans, who will stop at nothing to get the latest from the seasoned author. So, if you love all things Danielle Steel, you’ll surely love this one.

Kids

We choose: The BFG by Roald Dahl

Why: First published in 1982, the Big Friendly Giant character first appeared in the book, Danny the Champion of the World, published in 1975. These classic tales from Roald Dahl have been passed down through generations, and remain some of the best-loved kids’ fiction. To make it even more interesting, The BFG movie, directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg, hits the big screen on 1 July 2016!
